ABOUT THE ARTIST-

My name is Ryan Demaree, I was born in Columbus Ohio October 28th 1991 and I am a traditional abstract-surrealist painter. I have been interested in the arts all my life, although it wasnt until my HS years that I got serious about art, and painting in particular. I consider myself a modern artist that accepts the title "Abstract-Surrealist" because I have studied and I incorporate various abstract and surreal art forms, such as cubism, impressionism, expressionism, minimalism etc. into something that I like to call abstract-surrealism. I like to create something that is both aesthetically pleasing/ stylistically unique and thoughtful and mind-provoking as well. To me that is the ultimate goal in creating successful artwork, creating something that is both beautiful to look at and interesting to think about. In my years of being a serious artist I have had my own success such as shows and features and even some sales.

I have had my artwork exhibited in a local Music/ Art lessons shop a few times known as "The Rock Factory studios" located in Pickerington Ohio

I have also had my work accepted, through application, to the art site known as ArtStudio54

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I am an abstract-surrealist painter that nearly always works in the traditional medium of paint to canvas. I tend to use oils and acrylics most often and I usually paint on stretched canvas or wooden boards. I feel that painting paint to canvas gives a better, more personal and raw experience both as an artist and as a painter. I consider myself an abstract-surrealist because I tend to gravitate to and work in Abstract and surreal themes most often both aesthetically and idealistically. When I say Aesthetically I mean I tend to work in and study in abstract and surreal styles of art such as Cubism, Impressionism, Expressionism, Minimalism, Surrealism etc. the most and I attempt to combine various aesthetic values from each of them. When I say idealistically I mean I tend to nearly always create artwork involving psychology, symbolism, personal ideas, dreams etc. anything that I consider to be personal and thought-provoking.

MY GOALS AS AN ARTIST-

My goal as an artist is to create an idealistically innovative and aesthetically beautiful line of work that I like to call "Abstract-Surrealism" in which I combine past abstract and surreal aesthetics to create something that is both representational and abstract at the same time with an underlying thought provoking subject matter.

I would also like to create artwork that is affordable for those interested in purchasing artwork. Upon looking through my artwork you will notice that my work is affordable and of good quality.

I like providing a quality product for an affordable price.

Interests
I have recently been further developing my growing style "Abstract-Surrealism"

I have made yet another giant leap.

This time the giant leap is due to a mixed project that i have conducted mixing my 2 paintings

1. "Understanding time" -

2. "Species Differentiation [Darwinian Broadcast]" -

Together combined I have created

"Understanding Everything"

Which has been made into 2 seperate projects. 1 being partial and 1 being full

Partial-

Full-

My aims with this as a project is to show the different transitions of "Abstract-Surrealism" from stage 1 to stage 3 using the monolith in the middle of this painting to do so.

From abstract grayscale shapes and lines to half realistic pattern/ half abstraction pattern to realistic pattern

Stage 1 -

Stage 2 -

Stage 3 -

I have done a video in which i include all 7 paintings that I have done within this style to express what Abstract-Surrealism is.

"Abstract-Surrealism"

I also have sped up time lapse videos recording the working process for both painting involved in this mixed project

"Understanding time" - [link]

"Species Differentiation [Darwinian broadcast]' - [link]

I plan on doing a 3 painting series in the future that will show 1 single image split into all 3 stages. But this was also a fun experiment.

I feel project this layed the grounds for the future 3 piece project that I plan on doing.

Let me know what you guys think

Then there is visually appealing art that stimulates thought.
